How to Identify a Kornweiss Print

1

Check the Backing Card

Turn the photograph over. Kornweiss prints often feature a distinctive studio stamp, logo, or printed address on the backing card — look for “Kornweiss” or “Kornweiss Bro's” with a New York City address.

2

Look for NYC Addresses

Three known studio locations: 155 Rivington Street (Lower East Side), 26 Canal Street (Chinatown), and 1609 Pitkin Avenue (Brooklyn). Any of these addresses confirms a Kornweiss origin.
